Tiger, 2 years in the making.

This is my latest airbrush piece. It seems that tigers are the flavour of the month at the moment.

I started this piece in April 2013 and finally finished it. I just did not have the know how to finish it earlier. And every time I tried, I just gave up before I gave it a proper go. I’m glad I held on to it did not trash it when I got discouraged.

It’s done on a 24″ x 18″ re-cycled canvas that was re-covered with gesso. Background was done back then with Com-art paints using a colour buffer technique. Hard to believe that there is no white used in this. All the white is the gesso showing through. All the texture was done with a fibre glass scratch pencil that is mostly used in electronics and jewellery.
